Introduction
Sales Representative (FMCG) | Centurion Amka, a South African leader in health and beauty products, is seeking a Sales Representative to drive business growth across the Gauteng, North West, Northern Cape, and Free State regions. This role focuses on the traditional trade market, building strong customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Manage existing accounts and build new customer relationships. Negotiate contracts, promotions, and new product listings. Achieve sales targets and manage stock levels. Understand market trends and shopper behavior. Extensive travel across the assigned regions is required. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of sales experience in FMCG, Retail, or Wholesale. Experience as a Sales Supervisor or Executive is advantageous. Sales Representative Centurion, Pretoria - FMCG, Retail, Wholesale and Supply Chain

A leading health and beauty manufacturing company is seeking a sales representative to drive business growth in Gauteng, North West, Northern Cape, and Free State, with a focus on traditional trade. This role ensures efficient sales operations by maintaining existing customer relationships and seeking new opportunities in the market. 
 
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers 
- Understand market trends and shopper behavior
- Negotiate contracts and promotional plans 
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective measures
- Manage stock levels and ensure effective ordering processes

- Travel as needed and attend sales meetings Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 to 5 years in Sales, Retail, or FMCG

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain productive long-term relationships with customers.

  • Identify region-specific category/brand opportunities and growth levers, and build plans and strategies to capture these opportunities and drive growth.
  • Ensure perfect store compliance.
  • Manage margins and customer spend.
  • Attend monthly store performance reviews with customers.
  • Provide feedback on store performance reviews.
  • Implement corrective plans when necessary.
  • Manage the promotional grid and ensure execution of the promotional plan.
  • Achieve agreed sales targets.
  • Ensure effective ordering processes are in place.
  • Manage strategic stock levels and day-to-day stock cover.
  • Ensure new product launches are listed with all customers.
  • Design territory route maps to increase productivity and maximize the number of selling calls.
  • Contribute to National Sales forecasting by providing insights into customer and category trends.
  • Monitor market conditions and the competitive environment, making recommendations to achieve or exceed objectives and generate new business opportunities.
  • Position will require staying nights out when traveling
  • Attend Quarterly Cycle Brief Meetings and Weekly Sales Meetings.
 
Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience as a Sales Supervisor or Sales Executive.
  • Experience in FMCG, Retail, and/or Wholesale is essential.
  • A background in Retail/Wholesale or Sales & Merchandising is advantageous.
  • A completed tertiary qualification in Business, Sales, or Marketing is advantageous.
  • Sound knowledge of the FMCG Industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SAP.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • Ability to travel is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Own car is essential.
