Maintenance Fitter at Amka Products (Pty) Ltd

Amka, a leading FMCG manufacturer in the Health, Beauty, and Personal Care sector, is looking for a qualified Maintenance Fitter to strengthen our dynamic operations team.

Overview of the position's main responsibilities:

MUST HAVE: 3 years plus of FMCG experience as a Maintenance Fitter
MUST HAVE: Red Seal qualification (apprenticeship trade test)

 Knowledge of liquids and creams filling machines and principles.
Knowledge of rotary filling machines as well as linear filling machines
Knowledge of printer, labeller, end-of-the-line equipment like shrink tunnels, pneumatics

 Requirements

• 2 years FMCG experience (3 preferred)
• Knowledge of:
• Liquids & creams filling machines
• Rotary & linear filling machines
• End-of-line equipment (printers, labellers, shrink tunnels)
• Pneumatics

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and breakdown repairs under pressure
• Work shifts and stay late when required
• Apply statistical control systems (Shopware, Wonderware)
• Implement lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, and 5S principles
